Am I stupid for waiting?

So my boyfriend of almost 7 years suddenly wants to call it quits last week. Nothing has been clarified for sure. Im am happy to give him his space to clear his head but am i silly for waiting for him. He feels as though we’ve lost the “spark” but isn't willing to try to work on things either. As far as im concerned everything has been going great, weve been on holidays recently and had planned to do things in the nee year also. So this was a complete surprise to me when it happened. Of course the timing is horrible being so close to chistmas but am i being completely delusional for wanting to wait and hoping he will want me back?

People often have no idea what they want, even when they’re certain that they know. A month a later, they’ve changed their mind. Plus, we’re in an age where some people are so confused that they claim to not even know what gender they are (or they claim that they’re both……..🤦🏽). It makes sense that he would have some confusion or lack of clarity about what he wants. So, sure, give him a couple days to clear his mind if you want. Then maybe have a chat and be ready to either continue or to move on. Sounds like he’s indecisive and relatively immature, though, so maybe think about whether you want to continue in a relationship with someone like that.

If he was clear that he wants out, don't wait around. Sounds like you were his placeholder and now he's ready to move on.
