My ex has been calling me after our dna results?

For months my ex was denying our son. He told everyone my child wasn’t his and that i sleep with other men etc

So we got a paternity test and he told me that is wasn’t a need to get a dna test because he knew it wasn’t his child.

Finally our dna results came back and i showed his mother she told him the results and it proved this is his son. Now he’s been calling me back to back trying to talk but i have been ignoring him why is he calling me all of a sudden after i proves him wrong?

The best way to answer your question is to begin communicating with him again. First it being best to keep in mind that once the reality of the situation was proved to him, he wants to be part of his child's life.

Grant, he handled the situation poorly. He would not be the first. That all said, I don't know the man, but all other things being equal, you should want him to be part of his child's life. The data on that are screamingly clear.

Children who have a relationship with both parents - preferably with the parents actually living together - do far better than children who grow up with only one parent. Schooling and grades, career track, personal relationships. Indeed, even the odds of themselves avoiding pregnancy/getting a woman pregnant out of wedlock. All these things, by the data, are better when a child has both parents in their lives.

To be sure, other factors need to be taken into account. If the father is into drugs, criminal activity or has other pathologies, you will have to tread carefully.

That said, as noted, all other things being equal, if you wish the best for your child - and frankly, also by the data, the best for yourself as single parents also often do not fare as well as their married/partnered counterparts - then begin communicating with your child's father. Reestablish a relationship - to be sure, do so eyes wide open to potential dangers - and the BOTH of you need to care for your child.

Also, if I might add, allow for the fact that your ex may not have handled matters well, but people make mistakes. All other things being equal, he deserves another chance.

Put it all together, the only way you will know for sure if your child's fathers motives are good is if you give him the chance to step up to the plate. Again, as the stats show, if he does, statistically at least, the winners will be you and your child. Thus, in an emotional time, you need to clear away your emotions and your bitterness and do what is best for your child - and quite frankly, what is best for you.

He wasn’t not claiming our baby at first then all of a sudden he told people it wasn’t his after telling me he didn’t want the baby anymore
