How can I avoid a guy (my coworker) without making it obvious?

I know what you mean but avoiding or ignoring another rarely works simply because something seems wrong and confrontation must be had. Some common avoidance tactics are no eye contact whether looking away, down, or at phone, read book or magazine, walk in opposite direction, switch-up routines.

Eventually, the work put into avoiding itself draws attention and confrontation. Good luck with it all.

On a more serious note:

You can just take the long route and avoid his desk and stay away from the guys washroom. If the guys and gals washrooms are close together, avoid peeing the day, or choose another washroom in the building.

by the way - Why would you want to avoid him?

Be short with him, take a step back every time he takes a step forward and act uncomfortable and annoyed and bitter at the same time. Fake laugh at stupid jokes if you don’t want to be completely rude
