Why has my cheating ex’s brother requested me on social media?

I feel like I’ve spoken about this enough 🤣 but 3 years ago I was in a serious long term relationship for the first time.

He basically cheated on me throughout the entire thing and it basically broke me.

Thankfully I’ve healed but his brother always had a good relationship with me (he’s married by the way).

He requested me on social media today which is so weird!!! He’s a nice guy but I don’t want anything to do with my ex.

What’s the deal? Is this my ex trying to get back with me? Cause there’s no way in hell that’s happening lol.

1. Maybe your ex wants to rekindle things.

2. Maybe your ex's brother wants to have at least an onlne frendship with you because he developed respect for you. I have online communication with the married adult daughter of a woman I dated off and on over a perod of 12 years. I'm not trying to rekindle anything.

3. Maybe your ex's brother is also a cheater and he wants to stick his diddle in your middle.

4. Maybe he saw your username online and sent you a friend request without really thinking about it.

I don't think its your ex looking to get back with you, as it would be a strange approach to go through his brother, unless he is wanting his brother to check if you're currently single, maybe looking for a few hook ups.

Alternatively maybe his married brother is having marriage issues and fancies you, but it would seem unlikely as it would be super complicated.

Probably best to avoid your ex if he cheated like that, as very few guys cheat, but those that do are usually serial offenders.

You cannot know why, so try not to overthink this. If he had a good relationship with you, he probably just wants to stay in touch. Could there be a more sinister motive? Sure, but it’s best not to jump to conclusions. That said, social media is not worth the stress it causes. There is nothing wrong at all if you ignore or decline the contact, especially given how his brother treated you.

I remember before this era. It was a lot different. Less drama interpersonally. Also, I think it was easier for young people to find boyfriends/girlfriends because you didn’t have a large number of women chasing a smaller group of top-tier men on swipe-left/right apps and a lot of those men playing the field.

You are best to stay away all together , an ex is an ex for a reason , exempt them from your life and move on , Even though his brother was nice to you his brother is more than likely talking to his brother and having him step in to get updates on you or whatever , just let it go and don’t add him , you don’t need more drama in your life especially from an ex

Maybe this guy likes you and misses the relationship he had with you. When you break up with somebody, you end up breaking up with everyone else that was in his life.
