I don't get why he broke up with me when we never fought help please?

My boyfriend who dated me for 7 years said he wanted to break up but I don't understand we never fought or even got angry at each other why did he break up when everything was going smoothly lovely dovy he broke up for no reason if your happy not fighting and getting along why declare a break up he come to my place and said he wanted to be friends but he did not allow me an explanation it's like he wants that power and I can't get it or I get healing faster. Why is he breaking up when there was o fight nothing bad happening I don't get it ge we were happy he says he wants to move on from me but then says we are friends he driving me crazy that I and I only let him come to my place so we could get closure

Why would you stay with a man for 7 years with no wedding ring. I think he probably never considered you marriage material and finally decided had to let you go. It sounds like he was not honest with you about how he feels b/c he most likely avoids conflict. There must have been a lot of red flags though.
