my long distance boyfriend broke up with me 3 days ago because we could see each other as much as needed be. (due to how expensive) but i randomly just got a check today that can cover a 4 month stay in his city.

Why would you do that, he has no commitment to you, you can waste all your money to get there and he can just blow you off, or worse show you his new girlfriend, dont move backwards.
