How does a narcissist break up?

My boyfriend (a narcissist) picked a stupid fight with me, made it look like it was my fault and dropped me home. No contact for 4 days, then I texted him to know what is going on. He was cold to me and said we’ll speak tomorrow instead. Am I right to think it’s over?

Aww damn, breaking up with a narc is brutal. They thrive on control so they have to feel like they're the ones ending things.

I'd say it's pretty much over from the sound of it. The silent treatment for days is their signature move, gives them a chance to smear campaign you to others too.

Then being cold and blowing off actually talking is the nail in the coffin. A normal person would want resolve issues, but narcs avoid responsibility.

It'll just get messier if you try force closure. They'll hoover you back in before discarding again, leaving you even more confused and hurt.

My advice is go no contact as much as possible. Block/delete if needed. Grieve the relationship you thought you had, not the illusion. Heal, surround yourself with people who care.

It may not feel like it now, but you dodged a bullet in the long run. Stay strong - you deserve so much better than toxic games! This is his loss ultimately. His empty supply well will dry up one day.

honestly it just sounds like you two got into an argument/fight and will try to "work it out" tomorrow just like any other couple.
