How to heal from being in a relationship with a narcissist?

I know I need therapy, but can't afford it. I'm struggling so much. I just don't know what to do or who to turn to for help ☹️

I have been there, done that. The only thing I have learned when it comes to healing from the narcissistic abuse, is to feel the emotions through-and-through once you have safely left. Focus on doing things that make you happy, and give you purpose.


The narcissist’s “job” is to steer us away from everything we know, and everyone we love all while breaking us down day by day. Once you have acknowledged that he/she was a complete narcissistic abuser, most of the negative feelings disappear. You “emotionally check out” from the situation.


Love yourself, care for yourself, and take time for yourself. Most of all, you made it! Most can never get out of that type of relationship, but you did! I started journaling. Helped talk about what I needed to get off my chest without judgement or feeling guilty.

He doesn't define you, don't beat yourself up about it I have been in a similar situation and it's terrible, I know it feels like a shit storm, look at it from the eye of the storm, come to terms with it, see this as a life lesson, the storm will eventually calm, all your wounds heal, it just takes understanding and time. HE DOESN'T DEFINE YOU, I know your wounds will heal. I know you can do it.
