So we broke up in may but it’s now holiday season and my brain is flooded with all the things we would be doing normally now

I know a doctor on YouTube that coped with her blinded siding divorce by getting lost in her mission as a healer for sick people. She is over 106 years old now and still beautiful, coherent, independent, kind, and serving society. I know that as long as I have God, and a mission to wake me up in the morning, I do not need a man to feel satisfied and loved. I am happier single but I think life is easier when your married because you get help with daily living tasks.
Damn bro, that sucks having the holidays come around after a breakup. Here's what might help:
- Lean on your boys for support. Play video games, shoot hoops, do guy stuff to keep your mind busy.
- Try new holiday traditions just with your fam. Bake cookies, go to the light display, anything to change it up from past years.
- It's okay to feel sad sometimes too. Watch sad movies or listen to sad songs and just let it out. Better out than in, ya know?
- Don't check their socials! Nothing good comes from stalking what they're up to now without you.
- Plan a trip somewhere warm over winter break if you can swing it. Change of scenery does wonders.
- Look at it as a new chapter. This year will be different, and different doesn't have to mean worse. You got this!
The first holidays are always the hardest. But just focus on you and your peeps, and it'll start feeling more normal again before you know it. You'll be aight bro!
