I texted my ex tonight to congratulate him on something and that I was happy for him and he replied with "thanks!" I'm honestly so embarrassed, I didn't make the message seen to save myself more embaressmemt, how do I move on? This is just getting pathetic for me!

I don't think there is anything to be embarrassed about here. So many of us have done the same. Texted our ex's. As others have said. Delete his number. Stay off social media so you don't get the urge to look at his accounts.
