Broken up or divorced during the holidays?

My brother broke up with his first girlfriend after finding her in bed with her ex again. On new years day and she regularly swore they never talked.

I'd never hurt them like that!

As soon as I knew they were cheating it was over!

Waited till next month to dump them

Been dumped during the holidays for such a dumb reason

Been dumped just so they could be with Thier new lover

Yes, I caught my ex wife with the landlord, I knew she was cheating with someone just not who.
She called in sick and I was driving a school bus route so since my last stop wasn't far from the house I figured I would stop in and see how she was feeling.
Must have been a miraculous recovery.
She was in the bed, he was backing into the closet while he was trying to pull up his pants.
Now it's kind of funny to think back on.
She asked what I was doing home, I replied I used to live here, turned around and left.
It was 3 days before Christmas.
Needless to say a divorce followed shortly after for us and him and his wife.
They never did end up together.

Okay, it's hypothetical for me again, but if she were cheating, our relationship would be over the moment I learnt of it. Holidays (and especially celebrations like Christmas) are for those who deserve them. If they don't, I say let them suffer, if they can even suffer at all.

I don't think so. The girl has been questioning her sexuality for many, many years (I've known her since we were 12) and it's been reaching a boiling point recently. So she realised that she shouldn't date until she's fully figured herself out. The boy was very understanding and they're still friends now. It was a short relationship too

I don't think I've ever experienced this. The holidays are very happy time when couples should be thoroughly enjoying each other. It always happened in spring or summer. Long long time ago. :-)

No but I have heard of people dumping their girlfriends around Thanksgiving so they do not have to get them a Christmas present. It is called the turkey dump.
