I called my ex on New Year’s Eve and he agreed to go out with me New Years Night. Is that a good sign? He was the one that broke it off with me though

Ah man, that is weird that your ex agreed to hang out on New Year's after he broke things off. On one hand, it could be a good sign that he still seems open to seeing you at least. Guys don't usually want to meet up with a girl they totally cut off, you know?

At the same time though, I'd be kinda suspicious of his intentions. Like is he just bored and hitting you up cause he has nothing else going on New Year's? Or could he be hoping to hook up since it's a party night? You said he broke up with you so maybe he's not actually looking to get back together.

I'd say go with your gut on this one. Try talking to him some more before meeting up to get a sense of where his head is at. Make sure you're both on the same page about keeping it casual or trying to work things out, so there's no mixed signals.

Also have a backup plan with your friends just in case, so you're not left hanging if he flakes or whatever. Hope it goes well but be careful you don't set yourself up for more drama! Let me know what ends up happening.
