Several of my divorced friends seemed to get more desire after a divorce then during Thier previous marriage. Yet after marrying again it went down and their single stye social media pictures stopped.

The photos became more thier family and of course the kids again.

i didn’t choose any of the responses. as a recent divorced individual i feel yes, i have a higher drive but it comes from pent up emotions and the need to release. prove that i can be with anyone. and I’m also not interested ina relationship at all, depleted in that arena only no strings attached physical intimacy would do

it’s complicated. i think everyone craves the family and stability but the yearning isn’t constant. sometimes emotions are a bit more erratic and volatile, i suppose due to recent experiences or betrayal

Divorcing women typically already have a replacement in mind before the breakup.

Divorce among friend groups gets contagious. Be careful who your friends are. Women going through a divorce can easily get laid, but it certainly doesn't mean they can get a replacement for commitment or resources. Sure, you're girlbossing hard and have a great career and 2-3 kids, but men don't care about that when you're 30-40. It's all baggage and leftovers in the dating market. Good luck.

Women who are “on the rebound” have a higher sex drive. There is, often, a time period when they seem to want revenge on their ex or want to outdo the sexual exploits they imagine he is living out. …or are just starved for intimacy.

If I catch that vibe, I take advantage of it—but a woman in that mode is not a good relationship prospect. Awesome sex? Yes. Long term? No. I can dig it.

I'm guessing it depends on why the divorce occurred. If a partner was abusive and cruel, and had a myriad of problems, someone might not be too keen on returning to the dating pool.
if the divorce occurred because of lack of intimacy, and it wasn't a highly stressful divorce, perhaps their drive would go up.

I think it depends how the marriage ended, If the couple wasn't have sex then yes of course. I have not been married but I dated a divorced woman and her sex drive was very very high, because she wasn't having sex. I find that divorced women more than anything are looking for someone to listen to them, and be compassionate to them more than anything.

I don't think the drive has actually gone up they are just hoeing around because they are single and trying to find someone to like them. They have nothing to offer except their body hence the pictures, then they go back into wife mode once they get hitched.

No, it's dependent on age, health factors, any cockblockers invovled (the responsibility of children, taking care of aging parents, a full-time job, etc.) it's never dependent on whether a person is divorced/broken up with or not..! In fact, I'd say you have a better sex drive actually if you're in a relationship with someone, because then you actually a partner to do it with! If you have a DINK life, I think that's when it really gets down! Lol!

Well when there is a lack of a partner to have sex with, it is normal that the desire increases, once married the desire may decrease due to various factors, stress, monotony, the wife not allowing certain practices that the husband likes, etc.
