Is it common for men to seek a new relationship quickly after divorce?

After divorce or separation, what do you think are the reasons for it? They don’t want to be on their own etc.,

Not unless they were "institutionalized."😆 Like if you'd spent 20 years. or so married, I can understand you feeling like a part of you is missing after such a separation. I know it's not the same thing. But after my sister passed away, my brother-in-law grieved for about a yr. to a year and a half. Then it was like a switch was flipped, and he was very active dating (something my other sisters didn't take that well). But when he found the right woman, he moved pretty quickly to re-marry. I couldn't understand after all he'd been through why he was rushing. But I've never been married. Certainly not 29 years like he had been. So I can only guess that after spending so many years. With my sisters he felt very alone. We still consider him family. But he didn't marry us. Ya know what I'm saying.

I think many are inherently weak , its more common amongst men but there are certainly women who can not be alone at all either , my ex wife who I knew since she was 16 was exactly like this.

Men and women of merit , will sit back , look around be careful and take it slowly , but agree guys and generally worse at out of the frying pan into the fire , never did this myself though.

It is very common. I think they are on the rebound and miss the good parts of being married or in a relationship (especially the sex)

Like you say, they don't want to be alone. They aren't used to being alone so they look for another partner right away. That and they want the feeling of finding someone new and the romance, perhaps.

A need to be close to someone. They had a partner for a long time and now find themselves alone. Scary.
