I'm 24 and he's 37. He's divorced and has 1 son. Last night, I jokingly told him that I'd take care of him and cook for him 😂😂😂 and he was liking the conversation.

When I talk to him about my job or professional aspirations he doesn't care and changes the subject 😂💀.

While it is entirely possible he prefers the nurturing side to the ambitious one I do have to lift the perhaps more likely case: One situation involves you and him, one involves only you.

If I told you about my new boss gig over at x and y you likely congratulate me, throw in some supelatives and that's it. If I talk about one of us being the other's boss, well, that's a very different conversation.

But also what most guys are saying is true. We rate who you are much higher than what you do.
