Do men genuinely want to find the right parter/significant other? If so, what are men genuinely looking for in a long term relationship with a woman?

Depends on the guy. But let's say you mean a guy who is traditionally masculine. He does not want a woman who acts like a dude or tries to compete with him like she's a dude. Just like you would think it's silly if I put on some lipstick and tried to get into a woman's sporting competition, we think it's silly when women try to challenge men in various areas like physically. Slightly related to that is respect. Some women think they can treat a man like crap & he needs to kiss her butt. Respect needs to be mutual.

As a traditional guy I've written mytakes on what I think makes a better woman & man. Of course it's way easier to do what most people do today: avoid responsibilities, avoid hard work, avoid anything that isn't immediately fun... and so on.

And for a short answer: you don't get taken seriously until you take yourself seriously plus have similar standards for others. Many try to cut corners & think they can be lazy & live like total wh@res yet get a quality guy. Not how life works.

Well I think most men want to and I can't speak for everyone obviously. As for what men want, I think its someone they are attracted to of course but also someone you know will have your back when things get tough. Also someone who can be self aware to realize when they are wrong. Honestly, I dont need the girl to be the most gorgeous woman ever as long as Im attracted to her and I know she will have my back and be there when I come home, thats all I need really.

the usual, personality, dependability, sex life, compatibility, things in common, family connection, financial stability, desires, comfortability
an attractive face is preferred over an attractive body long term.(this is something i learned and not just a guess)

I agree, I appreciate the input - but as a protestant single in her 30's - it's still difficult to find a legit like christian in Cali even with this in mind - I'll just give it to God, ty.

You need to pony on over to the Bible belt and find yourself a Good stable to tie up on... The South... Bible Belt is like a whole country of John MacArthur (s)... some you know but there are very liberal ones as well.

Most do, eventually. They want a woman who will make a good lover, wife and mother. In other words, not your typical modern woman.
