it's the universe's way of telling you to move on instead of wasting your time waiting for it and waiting for it
if you really pay attention to what's going on with guys if they lie to you they will tell you the truth in the same sentence.
if they cheat on you they will tell you the very first time they do it you have to listen to the words.
when you give somebody love and you're committed and they're not it's their way of telling you I'm not the right guy for you
but we've been programmed to look at everything in a different way instead of straight forward we look at it sideways because we want something so bad.. you don't really know it yet but this is a blessing in disguise00 Reply

+1 ygood question. because mystery and inability to get something leaves one wanting.
Consider... you want a million dollars... so you work really hard for it.
once you have a million dollars, it's all great, but you want something else.
You have to work on yourself to value the million you have and be thankful. It's some kind of emotional stuff. you can, but it's work.
everything is work, so get to work!:) Been there done that.
Blech... if they don't reciprocate the love, move on, wasting time. Answers to emotional issues are in your childhood or ancestry.

It is simply a decision nothing more than that.
You can snap out of it.
You just don't choose to 🤷🏻♀️.10 Reply
It's not. Convince your ego it isn't love, it's lust or a vain whim to own a guy for a while. Such explanation are very likely more true than love, it can't be love.

u +1 yI think it's because you're still in love with the ideal of the person you're interested in, rather than the reality. It's easier to fantasize about and long for what you think the person is. You haven't truly known their flaws and weaknesses, or more intimately the things that make them who they are.
00 Reply It is really hard I won't deny it i've been there. When I was younger I was in love with a girl completely and utterly. She did not feel the same way and I knew it and I held on for years. It did not help me, It harmed me. I wasted a lot of time and energy wanting to be with her and frankly looking back she wasn't worth it at all, she definitely used my love for her to her advantage at times. It's not easy but you just got to see the damage it's causing you and try to move on.

+1 yBecause it's a fantasy in our minds.. What could have been.. And if you spend enough time on the infatuation, or even strong feelings you gained for an individual that never was, you'll be stuck in that "the one who got away" mindset.. The thing you can never have.. That person will never share that deep desire you have for them, and that will be with you for a while..
00 ReplyI think because we tend to stay stuck in the possibilities (if I keep doing this they’ll end up liking me, if this changes, we could last forever). We get so stuck in the could've beens that we paint a reality in that. So what we are scared of letting go is that version of reality since we feel so strongly it can be true

+1 yBecause it's a deeply disappointing experience. You spent all of this time and energy investing what you consider to be the best part of who you are into this person you think the world of. But they couldn't be bothered to do the same for you.

+1 yIt's not. I think you're hot. You don't like me? That's unfortunate, I'm moving on to the many who do.

+1 yBecause someone is rejecting your love for whatever reason the other person thinks in their mind is a good reason to.
00 ReplyBecause it's only all in your head. Not trying to be mean at all. But you just idealized the person, get to know him for real and it will mostly likely go away. Dunno who came up with this stupid idea but no you're not meant to suffer for love.
20 ReplyTo be honest I still masturbate to unrequited loves in the morning shower. Works for me.
I think you should masturbate more.00 Reply

What if he kept saying for five months that he cared and that he would not leave and yet did both of that after five months. We had plans to even move in together, essentially talking about a future together. 😞

It's 5 months, not your whole life. Some guys will say whatever to get with you and be all caring, but once they find any little things about you they don't like they won't communicate it with you and they'll move on. I suggest you don't waste an ounce of energy on the type of person that leaves on a whim. They're all words.

@HawkPerception Thanks, but now I am having some trust issues. 😞 .. How do I know next time if it's really love or he's just using me for an ego boost? ! I feel like my other ex (the one that I actually didn't really like, but yet proposed to me at one point) slightly liked me more... ugh it's so hard finding a man to be with me for real heh. My parents were lucky. They were from a generation where there were more matured men that didn't LIE about their intentions and were more marriage minded. At least that's how I feel. These days (I don't even know if it's because of my age (because asshole men keep telling me I've hit this wall even though I don't even look my age), but I really hope not. ... I can never change my age, my skin color or my race, the way I look, not always my health status, etc.
I just hope the next man I do get serious with (if ever again), knows how to see my GOOD qualities. No children from previous relationships or marriages, I don't smoke or do drugs, I am educated, and many other things! - +1 y
I'd hate to say it, but the only way to know is if you're able to read people's intentions well, and to be honest it's an intuitive and emotionally intelligent trait that it seems a lot of people lack. You either have it or you don't.
My advice would be not to give up and not to build and emotional wall. Always give people the same chance as you did for the first person, otherwise you make it much harder for genuine people to get to know you.
And yes, it was much easier back in our parents times because there was much less competition. We have to compete with basically everyone we see on social media and dating apps. It's desensitized everyone to real connections. We talk to so many randoms that it gets draining. It's always start of and talk to a person and either you like them or you don't, but you never know how it can go and it's very exhausting. That's just the way it is nowadays and we have to adapt to the times and live with it. You can always try to meet organically, which might make for a stronger connection, but not necessarily. - +1 y
@HawkPerception Thanks friend. You seem smart/wise and know what you're talking about. I appreciated your reply a lot :-).
