My ex wants to know if he is justified in breaking up with me?

I had been dating this guy for a little over 2 months. We had a pretty major argument one night where he told me he wasn't looking for a relationship and didn't want to be with me, and then walked it back and said he was 'just testing me to see what I would say.' I thought that was manipulative and mean so I left and went home. A few days later we were hanging out after having reconciled from that argument. He went to sleep fairly early, and an old friend ended up calling me that his truck was broke down in the woods a few miles away. I didn't want to wake up the boyfriend, so I just sent him a quick text that I needed to go help my friend out. Ended up needing a jump and some gasoline, so it took longer than expected. Right about the time we got the truck running, ex starts blowing my phone up accusing me of cheating, says that's it, we are done. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but why the actual fuck should I tell a friend of many years that I can't help them because a boyfriend of months can't contain his jealousy for an hour? And now he's been texting me for the past 6 hours and showed up at my house twice to tell me how wrong I am even though he broke up with me almost two weeks ago.
