Have you ever met someone and just "clicked" right away?

In the past I didn't believe there could be such a thing like the "nearly perfect friendship". I had to adjust to my friend and make compromises or even repress some of my tastes or parts of my personality in order to make this person enjoy my company as much as I would theirs.

He transferred to my school in the neighboring class, we met trough a friend and got along right away. When the two of us talk, no one else can follow our babbling. He was the first to get my stupid little jokes, that I believed, could only amuse me, up until now. It's so fun with him and all my interests aren't weird to him, we share the most. When something happens, we don't have to talk in order to get, that we are both thinking the same thing. I am fascinated by he's drawing skills and he is amused by my knowledge, calling me geerl. (geek-girl, how great is this lameness? I am just as lame. =D, ). We even both had words (that we didn't previously share, heard in childhood), that only the two of us knew the meaning for.

I felt sort of loozerish and odd, before he came along. I didn't think anyone could share my private little world.

I felt down yesterday and he knew what it was about right away. Before, he was acting nice to my friend, but I knew just by seeing him, that he was annoyed by her, so I made an excuse to get him out of there. He thanked me later, knowing I did it on purpose.

Every time I meet him we slow down as much as we can on our way, to have some time, or we meet up when we have an opportunity to do so. I am too shy to ask him out, even though it is so easy to be near him. He asked me once, but for now, we are mostly relying on the big convenience of our shared school and the little town.

Needles to say I think I may be falling for him, but that's not the topic.

Here I described the reason for my little happiness. If you ever had such an experience, could you describe it? To be able to find someone like this, feels like a possibility as much as winning the lottery is.

I had to share this because it feels so nice and I thought you might smile reading mine, someone elses, or even writing your own.

Of course the person doesn't have to be the opposite gender. I would be very happy even if he was a girl.
