I just met this friend and we share everything personal and both admit we consider each other best friends and I just find that crazy

Yes, once. It was a guy I met at my previous job. Issue was that his personality/demeanor changed dramatically within 4-5 months. He used to be introverted but began becoming an extrovert. In the middle of our friendship, he told me I was his best friend, I didn't reciprocate but didn't have the heart to tell him that.
