My ex doesn't respect boundaries?

He's too invested in my life despite he's moved on and married someone... he is suppose to pick up and drop off our daughter for visitation, but he wants to linger around at my grandmas house to pick up our daughter... he doesn't understand that what we had is over and I have moved on... yesterday my friends were suppose to come over... I could imagine he if my friends came over and he was here what that would look like. Yesterday I had to tell him to leave as there's a court order visitation schedule in place.. he's not suppose to be lurking around my house or involving my family in child custody exchange.. I had to call the police because he caused so much drama just dropping off our daughter. I'm in the process of putting restrictions legally with his visitation with my attorney.. my family doesn't know anything about him, but he feels complied to come into my grandmas house and get into my family's business. I told him my lawyer will be contacting him because we will be going back to court after the 4th... what's the deal? Now instead of him picking up our daughter here it will have to be at a sub- station with law enforcement.

He's not my husband and I don't owe him anything pretaining to my life or family... he's clearly overstepping boundaries

Ugh, he sounds like such a jerk for not respecting your boundaries! I can't believe he acts like he still has some right to know about your life and family when you guys aren't together anymore.

It's totally uncool of him to be lingering around your place after drop-offs instead of doing the exchange and leaving like he's supposed to. That'd be super awkward and stressful for you, especially with other people over. He needs to get it through his thick skull that you've both moved on.

I think having the custody exchanges at the police station is a good call. That will definitely help enforce the limits since he isn't listening to you or your lawyer. Some guys just don't get the hint until there are real consequences.

Don't let him intimidate or guilt you either - you have every right to set boundaries for your safety and comfort. If he keeps crossing lines, don't be afraid to get a restraining order too. You gotta protect yourself and your family from drama queens like him.

Hold your ground, sis! You got this. If he tries anything else funny, just let your lawyer handle it and wash your hands of him for good. You don't need that toxic energy in your life!
