Any thoughts about first love but he's an ex?

my first love and I dated for about 1 year and 4 months. Last year we broke up in July. He dated a girl (who was my friend) and got his heart break and now he's started to say that I was the one for him and I really loved him blah blah. His ego is too big i think so he won't text. Maybe he will? Dont know but I've started to think about him again and ugh I think I still love him but we ended up on bad terms. I have no idea what will happen or what I will do.

Ahh man that's tough. First love is always special ya know? Sounds like you guys had something real at one point. But relationships are complicated, and people change a lot in high school.

I'd say try not to overthink it too much. Easier said than done I know! But getting hung up on what ifs and maybes probably won't help. If he reaches out and you wanna hear him out, go for it. But don't chase him or get your hopes up either. You deserve someone who wants to be with you for the right reasons.

Focus on you for now. Hang with your friends, have fun. Don't shut down other opportunities just cuz of some feelings for an ex. Who knows, maybe in time you'll both be ready for a fresh start. But for now just live your life. It'll all work out like it's meant to!

No prob sis, always here if you need someone to vent to! Breakups are the worst, especially first love ones, so I totally get being all confused and emotional. Just trust yourself - you seem smart as hell, so you'll figure out the right call here.

And don't feel rushed either way. Take all the time you need to think things through before deciding. In the end, do what makes YOU feel at peace, not what anyone else wants. You gotta look out for number one!
