I'm getting tired of loving my guy friend. I think I really need to stop chatting with him, he loves our connection but he cannot reciprocate my feelings for him. How can I say it in a respectful way that I need time to heal and move on? We may drift apart yes but I am tired. I'm just so tired.

Tell him, in simple terms, how you feel, and that you want to move on. Then do it.

We guys have thicker skins that you girls give us credit for. He'll be disappointed, but he'll be fine.
