Affair with a married man?

I recently ended my 4 year affair with a married man. He’s been complaining about how his wife spends too much and lies about it. I told him I wanted to end things and if he got a divorce we could reconnect. He told me we can always be friends for now. What does he mean for now? Is he insinuating that he’s going to get a divorce one day?

I try to put my self into that situation mentally and if I really really loved a girl more than my wife I don’t have yet, I would divorce her if I thought this other girl was really my soulmate. Maybe you don’t mean everything too him like that. If he cheats on his wife now he will cheat on you too though remember that. He doesn’t only complain to you about his wife he complains to his friends the people and he works with.

Do you really want to be with a man who would divorce his wife to be with you, knowing that he'll probably end up doing the same thing to you? He's a low quality man.

And given your 4 year history with him, you are an equally low quality woman.

I have no advice for you other than to move on and try to be a better human being. If you can do that, perhaps someday you'll actually be worthy of a good and loyal man. As of now, you are not.

@slickrick6600 as I get older I see that no one is really faithful. When I was in my 20s I would cry if I got cheated on. Now in my late 30s it doesn’t bother me anymore.

My wife dated a married man for a while. Luckily, we didn't have that problem. I don't mind if my wife sees other guys, so long as she doesn't get pregnant

I'm guessing he'd rather stay married and deal with whatever he has to then get divorced. If he gets caught which would likely end in divorce then he probably would co. e looking for you.
