Is my ex boyfriend Jessy a hypocrite?

So if an interesting history back when I was in a relationship with my ex boyfriend Jessy he did hit me. He was very rude cruel he was the womanizer back in his younger days. Now Jessy cought my attention and I have been wondering what made Jessy decide to be ome a marriage counselor when he was very abusive to me? I made a review at his work place and I want everyone else to write negative reviews. So Jessy left me for a latina woman and surprisingly he is married to this woman. I was a good girlfriend and to Jessy , Jessy turn away from me. You know what I find very interesting Jessy was so abusive during the time period we dated and now at age 30 he is a Marriage counselor. Why would a guy do that?
