How do I convince him to go to lunch?

I miss my ex so bad. We've been broken up 6 months ago. We were together for 2 1/2 year. Even though we are not together we never stop communicating. He has blocked me but then he unblocks me. Whenever we talk we usually argue for hours etc. As of recently he has unblocked me. I love him we share a life together. We had a home and a business together. I cared for his son as if he was my own. So the break up has been hard. I've gone on dates but I'm still in love with my ex. I want to get back together I also would like to try couples therapy to create a better foundation because we argue about the same things. I invited him to lunch he said not right now. I ended the conversation by saying no worries whenever he is available just think about it if does decide let me know. He has a lot of pride so I know he's not going to call me back. I recently found out he stalks my social media. He unblocked me so I think it means something. I just want to sit down and have a conversation. How can I convince him. Do I give him space to think about it or follow up.
