This ex broke up with me, refused to communicate and decided to go no contact, tried to get him back 2 times and failed, fine! It’s been 9 months already and our mutual friend always telling me this ex is wondering how I am doing or if I’m seeing someone, still fine, it happens! But after 9 months he told our mutual friend to tell me about his broken leg, like, just casually mention to me his leg got broken, weird! And he got s new job but didn’t mention to this friend to tell me this, just the broken leg thing. Is there any psychological explanation to why? He already rejected my attempts and he knows very well considering how much time we were together that I am not reaching out again ever, I actually wished he broke his neck instead idc.

He knows you most likely wouldn’t reach out to congratulate him but maybe you would to apologize for his broken limb. I don’t think that is about him missing you romantically but feeling guilty for how things ended, yet is too prideful to reach out and apologize for his actions. To which I’d say — don’t take the bait. Don’t let any of this cloud your judgement or burden you, just shake your head at this childish foolery, wish him well if you want and keep moving along on your healing journey.
