Why do guys ask about their ex?

This question is for the guys I’m genuinely curious as to why would a guy ask about their even after ending on bad terms

is it because of ego or because you genuinely miss her and regret everything?

Doesn't make sense... I don't ask "myself" about my ex...🤔, or i don't ask anyone else about my ex as they don't know her...

Most people ask about their ex are mostly because they are not 100% move on. It’s because they still have some feeling, carenor even just to check the ex, make sure if the ex life not better than when they are together.

Maybe it's just the part of them that once cared for them wanting to know they're okay and doing well, at least I would hope so.

It can be because of ego and regret.

But also men know the only way to grow past something emotional is to face it head on. Hiding from it will usually create bad habits.

It's probably a lot of different things, depending on the guy.

In a lot of cases, it could just be mild curiosity.

I don't unless she is still in my wider friend circle (a few are). I've never had a bad breakup.

I think ego is a major factor.
