Why is it so hard to let them go?

By them, I mean old friends and exes. Why is it so hard to let them stay in the past?

I'm still in love with my ex-boyfriend and even though I'm with someone else now, I can't let him go.

Because most females’ are More emotional than most men are , Why Females’ tend to be more forgiving then most men are as well. Females’ are pretty much natural care takers , that were raised and taught to love and care for their man so he can provide and protect her and make her feel safe. When a girl gives her heart to a guy, she usually gives her heart completely to him , even if he hurts her or betrays her , she will be more accepting and forgiving to him, compared to a male that was hurt and betrayed by his girl. So a lot of females’ hold onto their exes more than males’ do , I can’t speak for everyone but this is usually the case. Bottomline you girls’ shouldn’t miss your exes period , because if your ex truly loved and cared about you , he wouldn’t be your ex period. People that love each other fix what is broken together , they don’t walk the other way period. So by you missing your ex , you are sadly setting yourself up for disaster if you choose to go back to your ex , especially since you have a boyfriend now , if you aren’t happy with your boyfriend now then you should end things with him and not date anyone until you are ready to put your past behind you
