Would sending him a letter and his favorite food be a good idea?

So my boyfriend and I had huge fight, he felt unappreciated and taken for granted by me so he’s asked for some distance. He said he’s okay with texting but he also needs some space. I’ve given him space and haven’t texted him to let him cool down.

But back then when he’s asked for space before, he used to say that he wanted me to reach out first. So I’ve been thinking to give him the entire 24 hours alone, then I’ll send him a care package with his favorite food the next day. I won’t text him, I‘ll just write him a letter acknowledging my mistakes and my commitment to make it up to him. I feel like there’s no pressure to respond back if it was a hand written letter. What do you think?

Yes
Wait it out some more

Thanks for the voted everyone! I did end up sending him the care package and letter, he then finally texted me to let me know that he really appreciated the gesture. He’s coming over so we can talk heart to heart and work on reconciliation!
