Accidental phone call after three months of no contact?

So it’s been three months since I’ve talked to him And I was on my phone then his number was calling me, but hung up immediately. He’s the one that stopped talking to me. Was it an accident? He didn’t text me or try to call back either.

I’d say it was an accident, since he didn’t let the call go through, didn’t follow up on it. There’s been so many times that I’ve dropped my phone, tried catching it and when I look at the screen some crazy shit has happened. Even if I’ve left my phone unlocked and sat on it. Some examples are:
-posting a picture without the app having been opened
-sent texts
-phonecalls are a given, oh my goodness I’ve cringed at the random people I haven’t spoken to in years that get a phone call
-sharing whatever web page I had opened in safari
-deleted notes from my note app

That is true. It’s just usually weird though after three months to butt dial especially if he’s with someone or talking to other people my name would’ve dropped down to the bottom on his call log. Yeah, maybe a part of me wish that he would reach out at least say something but he didn’t. I mean I do miss him, but I was just shocked that his number popped up and it was a FaceTime but we barely used to FaceTime. I would figure he would delete my number by now if he’s moved on or delete, call logs, or delete messages. Who knows maybe he was doing that just now but after three months, you’re starting to delete it only now? It’s just weird. I don’t know. I guess people are different.

I think that’s the main thing going on here — you miss him, not yet over him and subconsciously hoping he’s either going to come back on his own or he’s trying to hint for you to make a move. None of those feelings are wrong — you’re valid, and you have your own process when it comes to dealing with how you feel about him. I just think you have to separate what you want to happen vs what’s actually happening.

Respectfully (and feel free to correct me), it sounds like you think there should’ve been a window of time for an accidental dial of any sort. The fact that it’s been 3 months doesn’t really matter, because it can happen at any time. He has your number, and depending on what he pushed, it initiated a FaceTime. But if it were meant to be more, I’d hope if he were really into you he would’ve called back or something. He hasn’t done a thing. I think the doubts you have are you subconsciously trying to give yourself hope towards a man you aren’t quite ready to let go of. But honestly, in our age range we should completely over the games, because that’s what this would be. Now more than ever it’s a lonely juncture of time, with all the holidays. Even someone who doesn’t mind being alone could want a certain persons company or conversation — we’re human first and perfect never. You just shouldn’t accept or explore this sort of relationship at any capacity. The right guy won’t ghost and wouldn’t risk losing you, which sounds cliche but it’s true. You deserve more.

I absolutely respect your response and thank you because I actually haven’t put it into perspective in that way until you mentioned it which is a good thing. Yes I don’t know. Maybe a part of me does hope I guess a part of me was hoping that the timeline of accidental calling would be different, but yeah, the fact that he didn’t reach out and said it was an accident or anything that says a lot, but I guess I got a little bit excited. I had to end things because it gave me a lot of anxiety and stress like I couldn’t deal with it. And I almost had panic attacks. It’s usually like that when I deal with guys when I’m not dealing with any guys. I’m totally fine. I think I just need to be secure within myself from now on. I’m actually taking a long break from. I’m actually going on any dates or anything. Just to refresh myself.

I figure if he is calling people on his phone, my number would’ve moved all the way down on his call log being that it’s been 3months. To be honest, I’m actually just curious what made him accidentally called me. Like was he deleting messages? Was he looking at old messages or something you know what I mean and for me I guess the timeline was just kind of a thing like he would’ve just deleted it all after three months.

Yes we technically did end things. It’s 3months has gone by yes we were sexually intimate
