How do I move on from a guy I really want?

This may have been asked before but im looking for some genuine detailed advice.

Im quiet smitten over him and have been for the last 2.5 years. Im only able to leave him be for like a couple of weeks, then I come crawling back.

This guy to me has no interest in me. He has a girlfriend too... I was even willing to be a side chick. I don't know i feel immensely embarrassment for acting this way. All I do is think about him.

How do you move on from someone when you can just go on their socials and stare at their pictures all day long?

Uh... it's called self control, impulse control, or just control. Just because you have emotions doesn't mean you have to act based on those emotions. It sucks, but so does a lot of things. If the real question is "how do I prevent having these emotions", you don't. At least not in the short term. Long term, either find someone else or just have less interactions with him. As time goes on and you have other emotions related to other people, your memory and emotions towards him will weaken.
