My breakups are usually not permanent ruptures. For the ones that are no longer in my life it mostly just died out and nobody did the effort to rekindle it. No movie scene breakups.

That being said, my goal is to come with a lot of empathy which is difficult. And it's mostly difficult to not say things I'll regret later.

I didn't say anything, and just moved on. She sent me a text saying that we were through. There was nothing I could say, or wanted to say.

I said "do you still love me"? 3 months after I saw her again, she said "I have someone else, and so do you". Her avoidance of the question means one of two things, she still loved me or she never did. Either way, she's right, I've moved on. Although the next relationship didn't work and I'm single again, I'll find someone

My last breakup was with my current wife, lol. We got into an argument, she said she was done with me, I said "whatever, good luck, wish you well". One year later we got back together and married 2 years after that!
