I don't date, thus I don't have to be bothered with that issue.

However, it all depends on how you separated. If it is on a friendly basis, then it is just courteous to say hi and perhaps even to ask how they have been doing.

If, on the other hand, the separation was more of a trauma than anything else, then I would probably not even say hi and move to the other side of the street if I came across that ex.

An ex is an ex for a very good reason and the way he has become an ex is how it dictates my reaction.

I wondered this the other day, but I think I would just try to pretend I don’t see them and just keep it going tbh. If they come and say hi to me I’ll greet them back and just ask them how they’ve been then “nice to see you, I have to run some chores” 😂
