How long did it take you to start really missing your ex after a breakup?

I am in the fortunate situation that I never wanted to be in a relationship, just because of the reason you mention and because I am not interested in being subjected to someone else's fantasies.

However, if you break up with someone, then there are good reasons why you break up and when you do, there is no need to ever miss that person since you were not compatible in the first place. You are perhaps more of a romantic while he is a realistic person that thinks there is no need to look back and the only way to move is forward.

You should do the same and forget about him and not reminisce about what was but concentrate on what can be in the future. Good luck.

It depends on a number of factors, for me.

I've had an ex that I missed after only a couple if hours, and an ex that I don't miss at all, even years later. The former I remember fondly, but we just weren't right for each other, and the latter betrayed me, and destroyed my faith in relationships.

Others, I have missed for varying reasons, and for varying degrees; it's individual, based on the girl, the relationship, and how it ended.
