He likes me, but I see him only as a friend. He said that continuing to talk might hurt him, so he decided it would be best to stop speaking to me.
However, we both miss each other. What is the right thing to do? We are both undecided.

I think the best solution is to take a bit of space from each other so that he can get over his romantic feelings, then maybe in the future, you can reconnect. It’s fair to miss people you talked to regularly and have grown fond of, but you two can’t be proper friends while he still has feelings for you. Mainly because the things that makes him want to be part of your life and makes him miss you, are also the things that made him fall for you in the first place. So to continue those things, and resume your “friendship”, he will continue to have hope and may eventually blame you for knowing he has feelings yet continuing to do the same things and not reciprocating him interest. It sucks for sure, I’ve had to cut ties with a guy friend under the same circumstances. But it is what it is, and I’m sure you don’t want any confusion or mixed signals happening. Space is for the best.
Sit down and talk about it. Find some common ground.
We don't know what to do 😔
He is threatening to end the relationship if you won't be more than a friend. It doesn't seem like there is any way to resolve it if he will not change. I think it's a red flag that he would do that to you.
It's tough when you miss each other, but if staying friends keeps one person stuck hoping for more, sometimes letting go completely is the healthiest choice.

Don't waste his time. Him staying away from you is absolutely the best thing he can do.
Men and women can't be just friends, and that is normal biology.
The right thing to do—even though it might be painful to you—is to give him space and step back for now.
he like you, you think friend. both want some beneft so better be 'friends with benefits'
