Weither it was a good or bad breakup, wasn't the first waste of time enough evidence of incompatibility, why do people feel hopeful it will be any different the second time, mostly if the breakup was a petty breakup. I might be wrong but didn't the majority of successful relationships never have a breakup? They stay together, it's like getting out of a fire alive and walking back into it š

As well as my personal opinion, which is that I think it's rarely a good idea, I did some cursory research on this question. I was able to quickly find some numbers about relationships in the USA though, not the world.
* 32% of all people in any kind of relationship that ended, get back together
* 15-18% of those last more than 1 year
From an odds perspective, for every 23 couples that reunite, roughly 5 of them will still be together in 1 year. Not very great odds.
The numbers are not very different for married people except for longevity of the attempt
* 23% of separated or married couples reuniting get back together.
* 15% of those reunited are still together 3-4 years later
From an odds perspective, for every 23 couples that reunite, roughly 5 of them will still be together in 4 years.
Depends my relationships only fell apart over distance, if they moved back into the area or I could manage to go to Poland
So no moving on?
I left it a year, tried dating sites for a year and then quit the game for good
Depends. My ex cheated on me and actually left me for a guy with a bigger dick. I took her back when it didn't work out frankly because she had big tits but id no intention of getting serious ever.
If the spark is still there then why not?
If they did you wrong and that caused the breakup, no. second chances.
In my opinion, it depends on the reason. If the reason was something serious, like cheating, incompatibility or some bigger underlying issues, then yes.
And what would be the reasons that will make it work the second time? š
Like situations where circumstances or timing made it difficult to be together. Maybe one person needed some time or space to work on themselves, deal with something personal, or simply figure out what they really want. If both people have had time to grow and the issues that caused the breakup have genuinely been addressed, I think getting back together is not necessarily a bad idea. Not every breakup means the relationship itself was fundamentally bad. Sometimes circumstances, timing, personal struggles or other things can simply get in the way
But will the spark be the same, it's hard to believe so, mostly after things have changed, lots of time has gone by and their minds aren't the same as they knew each other in the past, maybe someday I'll see a lifelong couple that have gone through what you've described
Dependsā¦
well 99% not good because they havenāt make the changesā¦
1% who make the changes and both still want to be together⦠will work out well.
Absolutely dumb. The same issues that caused the breakup will still be there.
In a word yes
Couldn't have put it any simpler lol
