Just broke up with my boyfriend 3 weeks ago and we haven't talked since. He really hurt me but I love him and want him back. Should I contact him first or wait for him?

If you want him back it pretty much HAS to be you. If he's legitimately trying to move on then it's highly unlikely you'll ever hear from him again unless you share mutual acquaintances and as a result HAVE to put up with each others' company now and then.

You're the one that wants him back. Regardless of who dumped who, it HAS to be you.

I'm on the opinion that people break up for a reason and if they get back together that reason will only re-surface. In a break up, one party is always more hurt than the other. It makes sense that the one that has been hurt more, makes the first move if it was going to happen. But again, I don't like the whole concept of getting back tgt

Doesn't matter who comes back all that matters is whoever is coming back is coming back changed from past mistakes and noticing what they have done before. Contacting him first can be dangerous as if you sound too needy you might see them in someone elses arms. But it really doesn't matter who makes the first move, its how the first move is done.

Since you're the one that wants him back, it should be you. There's a chance that he is moving on quite nicely. You shouldn't automatically assume that he is feeling the exact same way. You'll end up waiting for something that may never happen.
