Why exes act like they don't care after break up?

after a break up why do ex's act like there perfectly happy about it specially after being in love with a person for a long period of time its been about two months with my situation and she acts like it don't even bother her but when we are in the same place she always looking at me if I'm walking toward her she is looking right at me and smiles what's up with that what do all you guys and girls think

My ex broke up With me 3 days after taking my virginity (which is a long story)! We still talk everyday and are pretty good friends. But he says I shouldn't have been so upset because sex is sex and nothing else! When asked why he said that and why he didn't care that he had been my first, he said it was because I wasn't really a virgin (due to childhood rape). Now he plays it off like it's nothing when I give hints to the fact that I want to get back together his reasoning (from the start was "I need to get my life together") we broke up almost 3 months ago...he doesn't care and just blows it off! He will when I tell him we're having a baby! (which is a complicated matter all of it's own)!

for me the pain of the break up didn't hit til way after (months) but then I felt like it was too late to change my mind about him( I broke it off with him), I did try contacting him later but it wasn't the same... it's really sad so I just try not to think about it and move on with my life, sometimes I think we will meet later in life and we might rekindle thing, but for now I won't bet on it, I have that hope in the back of my mind, but I rather just forget about it otherwise. I think the relationship just needed a break, for us to both realized we missed each other, and we needed better communication, we were both very young...

people are under the illusion that delusions make moving on easier I disagree. it comes back to haunt you and f***s up other relationship work. family ties entire life outlook etc.

psychologists say its best to give yourself several months and or as long s you need to feel comfortable seeing someone new and to fully feel like you're moving on.

if you don't let things end on their own terms, you carry it with you to the next and the next.youll end up with others who are doing the same because you lose sight f what it means to be in a healthy emotional state.

At least she still acknowledges your presence. From my experience, girls that break up with me will avoid me or treat me like a total stranger. We'd still talk if we see each other but it'll be like the day we first met; it's like I know her but I don't.

It's a truly painful and awful feeling.

It's because people are rotten. They like making others suffer and want to see the other hurt and try to give an impression that they are okay because they don't want to be vulnerable. Get to know the bad side of people before you date them? Especially when they're mad, people change when they're mad. And look for someone more mature in ways of being capable to assert things and capable of controlling their emotions. That is very vile and childish of her, she sounds terrible.

People are revenge seekers, so to speak...we want to make one another jealous for the most part. Some exes are on good terms though. I may see an ex and wave, but we don't converse much or anything. Other exes I could give a sh*t less to see and they know this haha.

Pride and guilt. Breakups are hard on both people.

Breaking up does not stop all feelings and memories of being with that person.

People do have guilt over hurting another person, as they do have a history with that person and it is never easy to hurt somebody you cared about.

If you are asking if she still has feelings for you, that is hard to tell as I don't know your whole situation, your ages, or reason for breaking up etc.

Some people can stay friends, some cannot as they need to move on, so it's a hard call.

She may be fine with being around you and being friends, it's hard to tell.

sorry I didn't write it in the answer box...I guess what the song says is true, "when a heart breaks, it don't break even" there's always one person that cares/loves the other more than their partner does, its hard to find mutual love in a relationship. Maybe its easier for her, for that same reason.

Also, some people get embarrassed when they think people think they were hurt by someone else.
