Why do exes ignore each other?

i don't get it why do some exes ignore each , like sometimes my ex ignores me, can someone tell me? is he trying to get over me or something?it has been like 2 month since our break up.

Well I ignored my last ex because they handled the break up immaturely so it was kind of my way of showing that they messed up.. But it is also a way of moving on and getting over the other person. It took me a couple of months to start talking to my ex again on a friendly basis. Though I really don't try to keep in contact at all anymore because I know we can never really be only friends and I think she knows that too. If a person thinks they can't be friends with an ex for any reason they might just plain ignore you because why would anyone try to be friends with someone they know they can't.

I do that for the beginning, while I'm still trying to get over them.

After I'm over that then (if they want to) I'll become friends with them again.

I feel they do this because there are still some feelings there. If at all possible stay away and look ahead. Let the feelings subside on both parties.
