Polls: Break Up & Divorce

My husband has agreed to a divorce. I asked for it because he was emotionally, mentally and at times physically abusive. Things have been deteriorating and I decided I should get out early before things get really bad.

Previously, he agreed that even though I asked for the divorce, we would announce it together and explain to the kids we will continue to love and care for them but just in separate places since none of this is their fault.

Today he said he wants to just pack his bags and leave and it's on me to explain it.

I have messaged with people on G@G who have told me how damaging it was when their dads just dipset instead of facing them when they were leaving.

So am I being unreasonable to ask that we do this as a family unit or is he right and that since I want the divorce I should shoulder the full burden in announcing it?

I was talking to a guy for about 6 months or so. We met online & due to covid we weren't able to see each other, we got really close really fast. Things were good but then he began to have doubts at 5 months & talked about a break for a while until we could see each other. 6 months he officially said to go on a break and if i found someone it was okay. Things were good, we would talk, he would call me beautiful & said his dad asked about us. Mind you this was about 2 weeks ago. A week ago i texted him telling him i missed him and i got no response or anything. I waited and doubled texted and then triple texted a couple days later this past Friday, the 23rd, he posted a picture of him with a girl and the caption said "hot girl summer WHO? #datenight #couplegoals #covid_19 #romantic" I saw it when i opened insta and i liked it and he blocked me on everything. Days later he messaged me and deleted the picture, he said he didn't know what he's doing with himself. He also said "The one person i posted, like I don't know, they approached me and i was like hey let's give this a try i guess. I blocked you like an immature guy then boom it doesn't work, i reflect on myself and i feel like an idiot who feels like i do everythin wrong. I probably hurt you and probably ruined that chance. I get left for somethin stupid and now i feel like i ruined everythin this is why i have commitment issues and its my own damn fault." then he does on to say he is unhappy and insecure. tried to fill the void when he isn't happy with himself. He also apologized for blocking me. The things I asked for were to never block me & to please tell me if he ever found anyone. He did the exact opposite & apologized I've thought about this, he did bring up taking a break and told me what he did like he reached out. But i don't want to be an afterthought but have feelings for him, i can't fully trust but i want to be friends.. Let me know what u think

I think you all know what "cheating" is..And me personally, I rather the letter, cuz least they honest with it, as much as it may hurt, hurts easy more to lay Up with a liar, give that intimate part of yourself to someone undeserving of that part of you...#don'tgiveituptojustanyone

Two weeks after no contact? Or is this foolish?

We got back in touch again after years of no contact
Its been a month since we started talking again
Texting back and forth

Then today he asked when Im free
And that he wants to go out for a movie & dinner

Why?

We broke up 2years ago
& we were dating for almost 4 years

Me and my ex broke up few years ago

We both were in a relationship after we broke up

Now we are both single again
So he added me back on facebook and messaged me

He told me about his bad breakup
And then asked how Im doing and what I've been upto
And asking about our families, job
Etc

Would he add me back if he still wanted to back with his recent ex?

They were together for 2 years
We were together for 3 years
So Im still his longest relationship

They both deleted pictures
And deleted each other from social media

Or is it really over between them?

Me and my ex boyfriend dated for nearly 3 years till he broke up with me few months ago

He broke it off because I kept accusing him of cheating and always looking through his phone and checking all his social media accounts
He got sick of it

So when he broke it off, I immediately blocked him on everything (facebook, instagram, whatsapp and his number)

Today he messaged me through a different account and said
"Why did u block me on everything? Thats so immature. Can you please unblock me?"

Why does he even care?

My ex boyfriend (of 2 years) came back to my state month ago so he contacted me
He told me he got into a relationship after me
But he's telling me has trust issues since she left him
But we were close so he still trust me abit and only talk to few people now
But he gave me his new number

Anyway so me and my friend were bored yesterday so I prankcalled him
- just called on private number and waited for him to say "hello" 3 times and then hung up

Few days later he messaged saying
"Hey did u call me on private number? Lol I know you 😂 you use to do this type of stuff"
But I denied it

How did he know it was me?
Does it mean he does not get private calls?
Or does not give out his new number to much people?

My ex (of 2 years) kept saying:
"I loved you"

He came back into my life
And not sure if he just wants to be friends or keep the door open for us to start again

Looking up your ex's social media
Wanting to know what they are up to
What they look like now..

Ok this is an ex situation

So me and my ex boyfriend broke up 2 years ago

Asking how I've been, etc
Then we talked about our breakup
And how he regrets letting each other go

When we broke up that day, I immediately blocked him on everything
- all his social media & his number too

So he got a new number and facebook
So he managed to add me & message me

This was our conversation

Him - when we broke up, you blocked me on everything
Me - yeah because it would be easier for us to move on..
Him - wow, can you please unblock me on facebook?
Me - okay fine
Him - and dont ever block me again ok? Lol. You still mean something to me

Then I unblocked him on social media
And he immediately added me on facebook

Why did he care?
Why does he care?

He will not stop emailing me no matter how much that I ignore him?
