Who is the asshole in this situation. Wife aborts child because its going to be a boy, husband divorces her for it?

So here is the situation. I have a best friend, Against my advice he married one of those feminist types. Anyway, a year into their marriage they choose to try for a baby. She wants a daughter apparently. He does not care as long as its healthy. Later in the pregnancy she finds out that she is having a boy. She goes behind his back and without telling him, she has an abortion. Later she tells him that she miscarried. When the medical bills come in, he discovers the truth, confronts her, and she said that it was her body, her choice, and she didn't want to bring another nasty disgusting boy into existence. He comes to me devastated, I chose to put him in contact with my lawyer, and paid for his retainer. He divorced his wife.. Thankfully they were together just over a year so she is entitled to nothing, The divorce happened, and she is out on the streets. Both he and i have been receiving death threats from her family and friends because of the divorce.

In this situation i personally believe she was the asshole.. She chose to kill his child behind his back, and lie about it.. Yes her body her choice.. But on that same token they're married and she should have at least had the balls to have a conversation with him.

This has nothing to do with feminism. Having abortion cause you dont like the gender of your child is sexsism, so quite the opposite. Obviously not liking the gender of your child isn't a good enough reason for abortion. Also laying to your partner is obviously wrong.

I defended her right to do so because it is her right. Exercising that right doesn’t make her an asshole. Did I defend her reasoning? No. Did I comment on her reasoning.
