I suppose I can agree on 1 out of 3 things that you mentioned but as for the rest... let's just say the potential may not necessarily be there most of the time. There are other people who have it far more better & are luckier than other people are.

To me dating is quite the waste of time I just look for friends and if the friends don't put out any red flags ask them out on a date although that never happened friends are always nice to have and at least you didn't waste your time

Meh dating is a waste of time & just the beginning process of getting a partner to breed with & keep the human race surving.

That is pretty much how it's always been but I'm not exactly in the need to breed and we have 7 billion people so we don't really need to have more kids since we are overpopulated as it is. Plus I just want a really great girlfriend to be happy with, share my life with, and spend the rest of my life with.
Kids are at the bottom of my importance list.
