He Never Lets Me Pay on Dates?

I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 17 so neither of us have tons of money, but he never lets me pay for anything when we go out on a date. I feel weird about letting him pay for everything and I've told him this and he said that it's fine and that he wants to pay. Should I bother fighting it? I don't feel like he should pay all the time.

Awe the fragile ego of the man. So cute lol. He does that cause it makes him feel like a man. If its something you always fighting learn to live with it or move on. You can always just use that extra money and do nice things for him buy a gift whatever. Google How to Handle the Male Ego trust me. Nop! You'll immaculate him. Leave it alone. If it'll make you feel better, but him a gift every once in a while. That'll make him feel special because men usually don't get gifts from women very often. If you make it clothing, then you'll dress him the way you like and save him the money to dress himself all the time.

I agree with @kbob93 . there are little things you can do to 'repay' him. maybe giving him little gifts like a drawing or a cd. It's understandable he wants to pay. Just don't go for the most expensive thing on the menu! Which i doubt you are since you posted this question in the first place.

well better to have a man that doesn't want to take you out at all, right. he's a gentleman and just keep offering to pay. get him a little present and put a sweet note on it like "thank you for everything" and blah.
that's what i do alot.

I wouldn't let it bother you, it makes him feel more masculine or better about himself or something.

It's also considered chivalrous.

Maybe you could repay him some other way? Like, cook him something sometime, or give him a back rub. Something that doesn't involve money necessarily.

He shouldn't be paying all the time but if he keeps insisting try to find another way to do something for him, maybe go bowling or to a movie and show up early and pay before he even gets there

I fail to see the problem. If he wants to pay, let him. If he becomes OK with you paying, great. I don't see it being an issue worth fighting.

It's a cultural thing and in some countries it's used for men to pay. Especially in Medditeranean countries
