Yes, it has, but I got a hardtop for it so it's not even slightly visible anymore. The soft-top is folded down. :D

@TheHooptyMiata Well, my daddy had a shop, and I was welding shit together starting at age 12 or so. We hung out there a lot, my brothers and me. Next to my hub's vette there's the '31 Model A rat rod I put together myself. It's a far cry from "restored", and it's covered with non homogeneous coats of primer, but it runs! lol

We also have more boring daily driver cars, that sit in front of those, and 1-2 other older rat rods in sundry states of disrepair. We even have one non-running one on our front lawn (water conserving succulents babes!), just so we can be proper trashy people.

Oh, ya, I am awkward and loud and can't dance and am not smooth at all, but the upside is that I drive like a boy, too.

Nice. I put a Pajero turbo on my Miata, swapped out the suspension (as you can probably tell by the ridiculous rear camber) and custom-fabbed an exhaust system. Rat-rods are just insane. Saw this fuckin' hoopty model A at Lime Rock once. Had a diesel truck engine in it. Thing burned rubber in its' sleep...

The point of rat rods is they're not restored! I wouldn't even prime it, I'd just let that shit rust. Actually planning to force-rust the hood of my car for dat JDM street cred, yo.

Yr miata is a road vehicle. It is probably set with cross caster that makes it pull to the right at freeway speeds. Don't know miatas specifically, but with what you got in that pic, yr default casters are probably set to +6.5/+8.0 or something along those lines.

When you put the suspension in, did you adjust caster first, to give a cross caster (differential) of 0? That's step 1. Same caster on both sides. THEN you adjust negative camber.

If you have signficant lift/drop and you are serious about track racing, you will need aftermarket parts to bring both caster & camber into spec. Tweak one, the other goes.

But, yeah. Alignment?
Equal caster on both sides, THEN camber, THEN toe.
Depends on how you drive the car, but something like +6.0/+6.0, -0.75/-0.75 will handle well, while not wearing the fuck off the inside of yr tires.

Yeah, I'm running BC coils. Had Racelands for a while but they're shit-tier.

I did the alignment, but I was very 'close enough' about it. I only have the camber to help the rear break out more easily and be more controllable in a slide. Less contact patch = easier to drift, in my experience.

I've got eBay camber plates/arms on the rear, and the front's just on stock everything apart from springs.

It's a hoonigan, I'm not massively into getting uber-into fine tuning it. It's never been on a dyno, I'm pretty sure it runs lean because of the amount of boost I'm pushing and it's generally a piece of shit I got for $800 to go round corners sideways in :D

If I ever get serious about entering Formula Drift, I'll RB26DETT swap it and sort out my suspension. Until then, it shall remain #HooptyAsFuck

No srsly tho, in terms of cheap a$$ mods that will actually make yr car drive better, caster will make a much bigger difference, especially since yr car doesn't have wide-ass tires like a vette.
It's probably off by 1.5° so it doesn't pull on banked freeways at high speed (all freeways are banked, that's why water doesn't sit in the middle). Which means it'll drive like crizzap on a flat track.

I looked up yr car's manual and I think yr front arms have eccentric bolts. Which sucks because otherwise you could fix this for $10 and a couple hours (swap out smaller bolts, turn in cams, tada!).
But, first, check if yr caster is the same on left and right. (It won't be.) Second, try turning the cams and see what you can do-- you can probably get +6.0 on each side. Worst case buy a set of V8R front arms.

Srsly dude you'll feel a big difference, in any road vehicle from after 1986 or so. You'll have to steer harder but you'll be like WUT

I think what fucks me up on the freeway more than my alignment is the horrible exhaust drone and the rub. Oh, the tire rub. I really oughtta raise it a bit, but dat low life... :P
