What height is considered short for a guy?

I was talking to guy but we haven't hung out yet. I like him so far. I really like his personality so far. He told me that he was 5'9. Is that short for a guy? I'm 5'6.5 - 5'7. I was just trying to picture what he looks like next to me.

I don't think 5'9 is short for a guy, but then again you are on the taller side. I think that height really shouldn't matter if you truly like his personality and are attracted to him. Why does it matter if he's considered short for a guy, he's still taller than you. You may not be able to wear very tall heels and still be shorter than him.

Yea most females I see around are my height or taller. I see many shorter too. I'm not that tall, pretty average. But I don't base that on averages I base that on what I see daily. =) but yea true I guess that isn't that bad for a guy. He's taller than me.

But you can't just round up two inches lol two inches is two inches. If you're 5'9 and 3/4 you can round to 5'10 but you can't round to 6'0.

@Prettygurl12 what? i fully recognize the average is 5'10, i'm just saying for me, i consider 6' average. i fully realize that the average male is that height. i'm not, nor have denied the validity of that height as being average. with that said, i consider 6' average since based on the fact i see it as not unreasonably tall and i know enough people who are 6'+ to see it as more average and than tall. i don't get what's hard to conceptually understand about this

also, 2.25 inches isn't huge. it's a huge difference percentage wise in that while 50% fall in the 5'9.34 area while only around 15% are 6'+, but that also tells you that 35% of all American males fall within a 2" gap, which isn't a lot
