Why did he squeeze my hand?

I've known this guy for quite some time now and met him through his cousin. About a month ago I was invited to a house party. The guy (let's say named X) was there too.

Towards the end of the night, we played truth and dare. I was asked by one of the guys who I would marry out of the guys who were playing the game. I said I would marry X as we came from similar backgrounds. When the guy heard it, he looked genuinely shocked but always smiled and laughed. He said he felt flattered.

A couple of weeks later, I went to another birthday house party and the guy was there too. We ended up dancing and he reached for my hands, swirling me around and squeezing my hands quite tight. I noticed that he kept squeezing my hands while we were dancing and held on more than usual. We were more or less holding hands.

Why would a guy squeeze your hands?

You were dancing... look at the obvious. He was squeezing your hands when you were dancing so you two don't let go and to get a good grip on you.
