Why did he randomly hold my hand?

So today, my friend who is a guy, me and him where playfighting. He took my drink and i went to get it from him. And as i was trying to get it, my hand someone got on his and he held my hand and interlocked fingers with me. When he did that he gave me my drink back, but he didn't let go of my hand for after he gave it to me. (lol i didn't either 😏) Then i asked him why are you holding my hand. And he said he wasn't, while he was STILL holding my hand. But then he finally let go after awile. So later on when i got him i asked him agian why he was holding my hand and he acted like he dont remember that we held hands. Lol i wanna know why he held my hand and didn't let go.
