Why was he playing with my hands?

I already asked a question about the same guy but he is a friend of mine and a few weeks ago he asked me if i had a crush on him i haven't really replied im going to talk to him when i see him next but i was just thinking one time i challenged him to a thumb war and i won :) anyway when we did it a few times after like three times then he was playing with my hand and he put his fingers between mine (waffle?) and then was just playing around and lingered why would he do this unless he likes me too
