Why did he keep touching my arm?

I went on a twelfth date with this guy and we spent 12 hours together. During the date, he kept touching my back and my shoulder to get my attention. When he wanted to point out something, he touched my arm too. This happened frequently throughout the evening.

i also noticed that when we were talking, our faces would be really close and especially when we couldn't hear each other very well.

does this mean anything? Why did he keep touching my arm?

So, you're on your TWELFTH date, and you're not even willing to let him touch your arm? If I was in his position, I'd have just accepted that you hated me and were completely repulsed by me, tossing in the towel at least 6 dates ago.
